Morgan Pinkham
Morgan Marie Pinkham was born on June 26, 2001 in Toledo, Ohio. She was raised by her parents, Scott and Angela Pinkham, in the Metro Detroit area. While her parents worked in the field of business, she found joy in more creative endeavors. From a young age, Morgan was always moving. She loved dancing, singing, drawing, writing, and she used these artistic means as a way to express herself. By the age of three, she was enrolled in dance classes at a local studio. Morgan was twelve years old, when she fully discovered dance was her passion. She knew the hard work and dedication this profession required, but she was always up for the challenge. Morgan has always loved that dance was an art form that you can never truly master. There is always something to improve upon.
She followed this passion through high school where she found herself at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. It was here where Morgan would earn a BFA in Dance as well as a teaching certification in Dance Education. Here she studied extensively in ballet, modern, improvisation, choreography, kinesiology, and pedagogy. She also had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Greg Patterson, Teresa Muller, Liz Riga, Christina Tasco, Stephanie Pizzo, Thayer Jonutz, Ali Woerner, Bailey Allshouse, Russel Tanenbaum, Shannon Gillen, Kaitlin Arena, Mary Murphy, and Paulina and Alexa Donnelly.
Apart from her studies at OU, Morgan has also had the opportunity to work with Eisenhower Dance Detroit (Artistic Director: Stephanie Pizzo), Water Street Dance Milwaukee (Artistic Director: Morgan Williams), and Take Root (Artistic Director: Ali Woerner). She has interned for Detroit Dance City Festival, Art Lab J, and Brighton Dance Festival. In addition, Morgan has worked as a company ambassador for multiple dancewear companies and taught classes at numerous studios throughout the Midwest. She also has experience setting works in both studio and collegiate settings. Morgan currently resides in the Metro Detroit area.
